In 1985, Angelika Mohr set up the licence and production company "Agentur Audiovisuell" in Munich. The company's focus was based on the distribution of American, French and English titles for the German video and television market. In 1998, the subsidiary company "MOREFILMS GmbH" was founded. MOREFILMS GmbH profitted from its mother company's experience and networks. As a consequence, the range of MOREFILMS GmbH was extended to the production field.

The main focus still remained on acting as an agent for licences of theatrical releases, TV, home video and internet rights on the German and international markets. Apart from the company's library it also has access to the libraries of national and international producers. The scope of the library covers motion pictures of all genres as well as documentaries and animation films. Apart from that, MOREFILMS also acts as producer and co-producer of different film projects.
